Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 3 tablespoons char siu marinade powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon chicken bouillon
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grate or powder optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black soy sauce

Method

Marinate the Wings:
  1. In a large bowl, combine char siu powder, sugar, fish sauce, light soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic powder, grated or powder ginger, and lemon juice.
Coat the Wings:
  1. Place the chicken wings in the bowl with the marinade, ensuring each wing is thoroughly coated. Allow the wings to marinate for at least 1 hour, or preferably, overnight in the refrigerator for richer flavors.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Air Fry the Wings:
  1. Arrange the marinated wings in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd. Cook for 25-35 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through the cooking time. Adjust the time as needed, ensuring the wings are burgundy-brown and cooked through.
Rest and Serve:
  1. Serve the air-fried cha siu chicken wings hot as a delicious appetizer or main dish with rice.
