Classic French Toast Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 slices bread white or whole wheat
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
- Butter or cooking oil for the pan

Instructions
Prepare the Batter:
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon (if using). Mix until well combined.
Soak the Bread:
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated. Allow excess to drip off.
Preheat the Pan:
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter or cooking oil to coat the surface.
Cook the French Toast:
- Place the soaked bread slices on the hot pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve Warm:
- Once the French toast is cooked, transfer it to a plate.
