Cambodian garlic pepper fried ribs are a tasty and crispy dish.
Ingredients
- 2 pound of pork ribs cut into individual pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon chicken bouillon
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
- Cooking oil for frying
- fresh jalapeño chopped
- fresh bell pepper chopped
- 1/2 bulb of garlic minced
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ribs, sugar, chicken bouillon, fish sauce, and garlic powder. Mix well and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Add the cornstarch and give it a good toss.
- Heat the cooking oil in a deep frying pan or wok to around 350-375°F (175-190°C).
- Carefully place the ribs into the hot oil. Fry them in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 8 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried ribs and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- In another pan, heat up a tablespoon of the fried oil and add in the minced garlic.
- Add in the fried ribs and give it a good toss. Sprinkle some ground white pepper and stir in the chopped peppers.
- Serve the salt and pepper fried ribs hot, garnished with some additional salt and black pepper if desired.
- These ribs are crispy on the outside and flavorful. Enjoy your salt and pepper fried ribs!
